This Privacy Policy explains what data the Rize Yanımda ("App") Android and iOS application processes, why, and how. The App brings together places to visit, events, news, local tradespeople, job listings and city guide information (on-duty pharmacies, transit lines, taxi stands, public offices) for Rize, Türkiye.

1. Summary
• You can browse the App without an account. • Writing reviews, rating, adding photos, saving favorite places and creating a profile require signing in with Google, Apple or email. • Your reviews, review photos, display name, profile photo and (if chosen) district are shown publicly to other users. • The App has no ads, does not use the advertising ID (Advertising ID / IDFA), and has no usage analytics or crash reporting SDK. Your data is not sold. • No location permission is requested. Camera and photo access are requested only when you choose to add a photo to a review.
2. Data Stored Only on Your Device
• News articles you save • Whether you have seen the intro screens and similar preferences
This data is not sent to our servers and is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its data.
3. Data Processed on Our Servers
A. Account (Firebase Authentication) Depending on the sign-in method: your email address, name, profile photo link (Google) and the provider account ID. With Sign in with Apple your email may be hidden by Apple. With email/password sign-in your password is stored by Firebase Authentication; we cannot see it. Each account gets a random user ID (uid).
B. Profile Your display name, profile photo link, email address, optionally your district, and account creation/update times. Your email is visible only to you and the App's authorized administrators.
C. Public profile To introduce reviewers, your display name, profile photo, district (if chosen), review count and member-since date are shown in a public profile summary. Your email is not included.
D. Reviews, ratings and review photos When you review a place or tradesperson, your rating (1–5), review text (up to 1000 characters), display name, profile photo, up to 2 photos and the date are stored and shown publicly. Photos are resized on your device before upload. Please do not include personal information about yourself or others (faces, license plates, addresses, etc.). Reviews that break the rules may be hidden or removed by moderators.
E. Favorites The list of places you favorite is stored in your account and visible only to you.
F. Reports When you report a review, the reported content, the reason, any note you write, your user ID and the date are stored. Only administrators see this, for moderation.
G. Camera and photos Access is requested only when you add a photo to a review. Only the photos you pick are uploaded; the rest of your library is not accessed.
H. Phone, WhatsApp and directions The "Call", "WhatsApp" and "Directions" buttons open the number or address in your device's phone, WhatsApp or maps app. The App does not read your location or contacts for this; those apps' own privacy policies apply.
4. Purposes
• Creating your account and managing your session • Providing reviews, ratings, photos and favorites • Calculating average ratings • Preventing abuse and reviewing reports • Responding to support requests and meeting legal obligations
5. Sharing
Your data is processed only by our hosting provider Google Firebase for the purposes above. It may be disclosed to authorities where legally required. Your data is not sold or shared for advertising. Services we use: Third-Party Services.
6. Server Location
The database and files are hosted in Google Cloud's European regions (Belgium and the Netherlands).
7. Retention
Account, profile, review, photo and favorite data are kept until you delete your account. Report records may be kept for moderation and possible disputes.
8. Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from within the App. Details: Account and Data Deletion.
9. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their personal data. If you become aware of such a case, contact us and we will delete the data.
10. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access is restricted by database security rules: nobody else can see your email, favorites or reports.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is published on this page with a new "Last Updated" date.
