This Privacy Policy explains which data the Android and iOS application KPSS Konu & Soru: Öğren ("App") processes, for what purpose and how. The App is a study app offering topic lessons, a question bank and mock exams for candidates preparing for the Turkish Public Personnel Selection Examination (KPSS).

1. Summary

• You do not need to create an account or sign in. An anonymous account is created automatically on first launch. • The questions you solve, your progress, mistakes, favorites and mock exam results are stored only on your device and are not sent to our servers. • There are no ads, no advertising identifier (Advertising ID / IDFA) is used, and your data is never sold. • The App does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts or photo access. • Payments are handled by Google Play and the App Store; your card details never reach us.

2. Data Stored Only on Your Device

• Solved questions, per-topic correct/incorrect statistics and study time • Mistakes and favorite question lists • Mock exam results and net scores • Lesson progress • Points (XP) and level (also written to your profile, see below) • Focus timer statistics and map game records • Downloaded question, exam and lesson packs • Theme, sound, vibration and similar preferences

These are deleted when you uninstall the App or clear its data. If Android device backup is enabled, the operating system may include them in your Google account backup; we have no access to that backup.

3. Data Processed on Our Servers

A. Account (Firebase Authentication) • Anonymous account: a random user ID (uid) is created on first launch. It does not identify you personally. • Optional sign-in: if you want to move your data to another device, you can sign in with Google, Apple or email/password. Depending on the method, your email address, name, profile photo link (Google) and the related account ID are processed. Apple may hide your email address. With email/password sign-in your password is stored by Firebase Authentication; we cannot see it.

B. Profile (Cloud Firestore) Your profile document holds: the selected exam and level, daily study goal, the nickname you enter, avatar and avatar color, points (XP), account creation and last sign-in times. Only you (and the system during account deletion) can read or write it.

C. Question reports When you report a question with the "Report" button, we receive: your user ID (uid), question/topic ID, question text and options, the correct answer, the selected reason, your optional note (up to 1000 characters), the content pack version and the date. This is used only to fix content. Please do not write personal information in the note.

D. Subscription When you buy Premium, payment is taken by Google Play or the App Store. The App sends the product ID and the purchase token to our server, which verifies it with the store. We store your user ID, product, expiry date and whether the subscription is active. Card or payment details never reach us.

E. Usage statistics (Firebase Analytics) Automatically collected events are processed to understand overall usage: first open, session start, engagement time, screen views, app and OS updates, together with the app instance ID, device model, operating system, language and approximate location (country/city) derived from the IP address. Analytics data is not linked to your account (no user ID is sent) and is not used for advertising.

F. Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) If the App crashes, the stack trace, device model, OS version and Crashlytics installation ID may be sent so we can fix the problem.

G. Notifications (Firebase Cloud Messaging) The App asks for notification permission. If granted, Firebase creates a push token for your device. We do not store this token in our database. You can turn notifications off in device settings at any time.

H. App integrity (Firebase App Check) To protect our backend from abuse, Google Play Integrity (Android) and Apple App Attest / DeviceCheck (iOS) verify that the app and device are genuine. No data identifying you is stored.

I. Content downloads (Firebase Storage) Question, exam and lesson packs are downloaded from our servers. Nothing is uploaded from your device.

4. Purposes

• Providing the core features (practice, mock exams, lessons) • Moving your profile between devices when you sign in • Verifying Premium subscriptions and unlocking content • Fixing reported questions • Improving stability and performance • Preventing abuse and fraud • Complying with legal obligations

Your data is not used for advertising, profiling or marketing and is not sold.

5. Storage Location and International Transfers

Data is stored on Google's Firebase infrastructure. Our Cloud Firestore database is located in Europe (Frankfurt, europe-west3) and content packs in the United States (us-east1). Analytics, Crashlytics, Authentication and Cloud Messaging data is processed on Google's global infrastructure. Your data is therefore transferred abroad; see Third-Party Services.

6. Retention

• On-device data: until you uninstall the App or clear its data • Account and profile: until you delete your account • Question reports: kept for content quality; your user ID is removed when you delete your account • Subscription record: kept even after account deletion so the store subscription can continue and be restored with a new account; legal retention duties apply • Analytics and Crashlytics: according to Google's retention periods

7. Deleting Your Account and Data

Delete your account in the App under Settings → Account → Delete account. If you cannot access the App, email akillisletme@gmail.com. What is deleted and what is kept is described on the Account and Data Deletion page. Deleting your account does not cancel your store subscription.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you become aware of such a case, contact us and we will delete the data.

9. Security

All communication with our servers is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Database security rules ensure that each user can access only their own data. No system is completely risk-free; in the event of a breach we will notify as required by law.

10. Your Rights

Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify or erase your data, to object to processing and to data portability. Send requests to akillisletme@gmail.com; we respond within 30 days.

11. Changes

We may update this policy as the App changes. The current version is always published on this page with an updated date.
