Location Simulator – Mock GPS Third-Party Services Last Updated: May 25, 2026
This page lists every third-party service the App relies on and explains why each is used. The App does not use any third-party service for advertising, behavioral analytics, or user profiling.
1. Google Maps Platform Purpose: Map-tile rendering, map UI, coordinate selection. Provider: Google LLC Data sent to provider: Standard map-tile requests (IP, device metadata, etc. processed under Google's own policies). Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
2. Firebase Core Purpose: Required base initialization for Firebase SDKs. Provider: Google LLC (Firebase) Data sent to provider: Standard Firebase init handshake.
3. Firebase Remote Config Purpose: Minimum required app version check. Data sent to provider: App version, device locale, platform/OS version, package name. Not used for: User tracking, advertising, behavior analysis, profiling.
4. Firebase Crashlytics Purpose: Crash and non-fatal error reporting (release builds only, gated by the CRASHLYTICS build flag). Data sent to provider: Crash stack trace, device model, OS version, app version. Not collected: Name, email, phone, contacts, messages, user content, or saved locations.
5. Google Play Services Purpose: System-level integration with Google Play (mock-location API, location provider, etc.). Provider: Google LLC
6. Android System Services Purpose: AlarmManager (scheduler), MediaStore (the photo picked by the user for Photo GPS Editor), notifications, share sheet. Provider: Android operating system (on device).
7. Address Search (Android Geocoder) Purpose: Converting the place name you type on the map into coordinates (geocoding). Provider: Android system geocoder service (the backend resolver may be Google). Data sent to provider: Only the search query text you type; sent over the internet. Your real location is not sent, queries are not stored, and they are not used for profiling.
Services NOT Used The App currently does not include any of the following: • Google Analytics or Firebase Analytics • Advertising SDKs (AdMob, Meta, etc.) • OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or any other LLM/AI service • Third-party attribution or campaign-tracking SDKs • Third-party subscription or payment SDKs
